n0rah: Okay this is really corny but I’ve got a little tear in my eye and this means a lot to me personally so I’m gonna say it.I can honestly say that I’ve never been more proud to be an American, or even to be part of the human race for that matter.  These pictures literally bring tears to my eyes.  I mean, the Yankees’ tributes alone - anyone who’s from NY or Boston will fight to shed a tear - that pulls at your heartstrings.I mean yeah, our country is basically in a constant civil war with who’s right and who’s wrong and it seems like we can never agree on anything - but it really touches my heart that in a time of need, we can set aside our differences and stand together and support each other.  The fact that other countries have us in their thoughts and prayers, the proof that human decency still does exist.  Things like this give me faith in humanity, faith in the fact that love can overpower any hurt or tragedy.  I feel blessed to be a part of it, with people of every different background who can come together in support of one city.
